Poems from the
Inside
Seek
the light of day . . .
When nervous, ticking tension
becomes a close companion
and there is really nothing much that you can say;
Then just close your weary eyes,
dream of love or wide blue skys,
and still the hammer of your pulse for one more day.
Know the sky is in its place,
there is no need to join the race;
no need to join the foolish leaping games they play.
It may be that you have cried.
It may be that they have lied.
It matters not - just still the beating of your heart
and let the war go on without you one more day.
